The United Arab Emirates national flag was conceived when the seven emirates joined together to form the federation. Before that time, each emirate had its own flag, which can been at the following links.

Abu Dhabi | Dubai | Sharjah | Ajman | Ras Al Khaimah | Umm Al Quwain | Fujairah

The UAE flag consists of four colors - red, green, white, and black. Each color is shaped in a rectangular manner and looks similar to the letter E. The backbone of the 'E' is red, the top dash is green, the middle dash is white and the bottom dash is black.The United Arab Emirates national flag is sometimes also refered to as the Emirati flag.
